Vision
I dream of an immersive space, with a stellar sound and visuals that allows people to step inside the soundwaves of the music, to live in the moment, to feel safe and to dance freely without judgement during the day or at night. Away from the speakers people should have a place to relax, hydrate, talk and connect.

Steelo Records International
In 1995 Jasha co-founded Steelo Records International, a record pool dedicated to underground hip-hop and hard-to-find reggae, dancehall and dub music. Sourcing records from New York City and Los Angeles distributors, Jasha helped a growing community of DJs to build their crates with 12″ singles, white label promos, remixes, LPs and 7″s. Jasha opened for distinguished hip-hop acts including DJ Jazzy Jeff, De La Soul and The Pharcyde.

Pacesetter Sound System
Jasha was drawn from mainstream hip-hop to reggae and dub music because of it’s message of unity and love. Jasha co-founded Pacesetter Sound System, with the veteran Jamaican singer and microphone magician Super Irie and fellow selectors Bam-H1, Bullrush and Fairchild.

In addition to selecting and DJing, Jasha managed booking and promotions for Pacesetter Sound System as they performed across the U.S., held multiple year long residencies and played alongside many international superstars including Burning Spear, Yellowman, Sugar Minott, Shabba Ranks, 311, The Skatalites, The Meditations, and Michael Rose (formerly of Black Uhuru).
Pacesetter also co-hosted reggae festivals which featured world class reggae acts Israel Vibration and the Roots Radics Band, Culture, Justin Hinds and The Dominoes, Sister Carol, and Shinehead among others.
Street Platinum & Gold Productions
Jasha co-founded Street Platinum & Gold Productions which released 5 Borough Fire, a double LP compilation of Reggae produced by Philip Smart and Jah Life Studios including vocals and dub tracks by artists including Garnett Silk, Nicodemus, Dean Fraser, Scion Success and Sammy Levi among others.
Jasha also selected, mixed and produced multiple mixtapes for Street Platinum & Gold including Reggae Veterans Day featuring Scion Success and Platinum Blends featuring Shabba Ranks and Major Damage.

Cultural Reggae Mixes
Jasha grew up listening to Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Black Uhuru and jumped deeper into collecting reggae, dub and dancehall after falling in love with Jesse Jender’s track Rude Boy Remember in 1992.
By 1995 Jasha had a wholesale account with Ernie B’s Records in Los Angeles, the largest reggae music distributor in the world and was ordering original pressing LPs, 12″s and 7″s and new release reggae and dancehall riddims. Jasha has continued to collect and DJ reggae music for over 30 years.
